Antigone

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Directed by Lee Mengo

Written by Sophocles

Antigone was one of the last performances I worked on before finishing my time at Bridgend College, it was my favourite play and where I discovered and fell in love with costume breakdown. On this production I took on every position of costuming, from designing, draping, dying, distressing and dresser. It was very hands on work with hours of draping onto the identical base dresses for each character, and breaking multiple cheese graters in the process. I worked alongside the set designer, Jordan Elise Clemett, sharing the Greek symbols they found, and the meanings behind them. I assigned 3 to each character, and they incorporated them into the set. I was overseen by my tutor Hilary Statts, and worked closely with the director towards the end of the fittings to perfect every detail for his vision.
